For those who have the specific type of phone required, this might be something you’d enjoy trying out.
I recently tried Ubuntu Touch on a Nexus 4. it was ok, and if it had a little better notification system, and slightly better, quicker navigation, I could see using it as my daily device. That said, it wasn’t quite there.
The real hindrance I see with the Linux based phones like Ubuntu, Sailfish, and this Plasma Phone is the lack of support for enough phones to make it something that will get wide adoption (at least for now).
