I ran across a video that mentioned that someone had completely de-compiled Super Mario 64 and updated it to be compatible with modern hardware. So now Super Mario 64 is out there with native OS support NO emulation needed. The source code and a precompiled version is listed on the post in 4chan and can be found with a little searching. This is NOT Nintendo supported and so is likely to be taken down.
There is also an online web version listed in the comments of the post. Pretty cool what people can do when the source to old games becomes available.
