HomeBridge to the rescue!
Home bridge is an awesome, open source, free project that uses NodeJS running on your own hardware to emulate the HomeKit (by Apple, Inc.) API.
The nice thing about this is that it uses plugins that are created by the community and can connect to all kinds of devices that you may have multiple, disparate apps for, and you can bring them all together with HomeBridge and HomeKit.
